C.S. Lewis was a most unusual man. An atheist who came to Christ at age 30 while a professor at Oxford University, he would become the most popular defender of the Christian faith in the 20th century. He was a lifelong bachelor, who fell deeply in love with Joy Gresham and married her a few years before he died.
He was a scholar of medieval English literature, a popular writer of Christian books, a children’s writer and a novelist. He had an incredible impact.
Though this biography was written for a younger audience, it is quite good. Lewis always fascinates.
