The book “God’s Smuggler,” published in the 1960s, told the incredible story of Brother Andrew, a vibrant Dutch Christian, smuggling Bibles into the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. For the last 30 years, he has focused his ministry on strengthening the struggling, persecuted church in the Middle East.

“Light Force” tells of his work with Lebanese Christians in war-torn Lebanon, his work with Arab Christians and Messianic Jews in Israel, his meetings with radical Muslims including Yasser Arafat and the founder of Hamas, his ministry efforts in the Gaza strip and in the West Bank, and more. This book will probably give you a different perspective on the Middle East, a perspective which will see beyond political conflict and see the precious people – Jewish, Muslim and Christian – that Christ died for, people who matter to Christ and therefore must matter to us.
